TAKE 3 OFFERS ELOQUENT E-MAIL AND NEWS SOFTWARE AT REDUCED PRICE OF $99
CEDAR, MI - December 1, 1994 - Take 3 announced today their Eloquent (tm) MIME
and NeXTMail capable mail and news software will be available at the reduced
price of $99 throughout the month of December. This temporary lower price makes
Eloquent even more attractive as a flexible alternative to other NEXTSTEP mail
and news applications.
Eloquent is a comprehensive solution for users that need to send and receive
MIME e-mail and news in a heterogeneous environment, while retaining the ability
to exchange messages in the traditional NEXTSTEP-proprietary formats. With its
variety of outstanding and innovative features, many customers simply use
Eloquent for the increased productivity it affords them.
Users that require only basic functionality appreciate Eloquent's easy access to
mailboxes and subscribed newsgroups. Because the user has a variety of
composition tools available - including a customized template for new messages,
a quote menu, easy-to-remember aliases for addressing, and access to their
signature files - composing messages is greatly simplified. Greater flexibility
is achieved through the ability to save composed messages for later editing and
delivery, and control over archiving and return receipts right from the compose
window.
Users that deal with large amounts of e-mail are able to take advantage of
Eloquent's mail sorting capabilities, a feature made even more powerful when
used in conjunction with SmartBoxes (tm). SmartBoxes are mailboxes that take
care of many routine actions - such as replying, redirecting messages to another
address, and compacting - for you.
Migrating from other mail user agents such as Mail.app, pine and elm is
relatively painless, as Eloquent can read and write to your present mailboxes.
A demo of Eloquent is available from:
ftp://ftp.cs.orst.edu/software/NeXT/demos/mail/Eloquent.1.01d.tar.gz
Note the contact information given in the README file and the Info Panel has
changed. Please use the address and phone number given at the beginning of this
announcement to contact Take 3.
The demo on the archives is partially disabled. It can be made fully functional
by purchasing a license at the sale price of $99 directly from Take 3. Contact
Take 3 for site license pricing. Eloquent is available for NEXTSTEP 3.1 or
higher running on Intel and Motorola processors.
Customers who purchase Eloquent during the month of December at the sale price
will receive the next feature upgrade (scheduled for an early 1995 release) at
no charge. This policy excludes upgrades to Eloquent for HPPA.
